This image by Russian Photographer Nikolai Bakharev, taken in 1980’s s part of his black and white series “Relationship“. This photo which was nominated for “The Deutsche Börse Photography Prize” the first time a Russian artist had been nominated for the award. The image is quite ground braking as it was taken during a time when photographing nudity was prohibited. For this reason I find it quite interesting, also the commoradery captured in the image is quiet heart warming and natural. I feel like the image tells its own story as it feels like the camera has infiltrated the mens property and is engaging in a confrontation with them.
