Shallow Depth of Field is easily achieved on a DSLR camera by setting your f-stop to the lowest possible number, anywhere between 1.2-5.6 depending on the camera lens. Once the f-stop is at its lowest number, zoom in on the object while making sure that the background is visible and at a distance.
